The sports complex consists of the interconnection of two “S”-shaped volumes symbolizing two converging rivers.
The rivers form a “crossing” ideally and physically representing the athletes’ movement and their encounter with the public.
The linear development is inspired by the dense network of rivers and canals present in the morphology of the territory, the Po Delta Park.
Construction materials are inspired by the transparency, reflection and translucency of water.
The glass walls and the metallic fabric of the facades, together with the aluminum of the roof, give the sports center an appearance that changes according to the weather conditions and the observer’s point of view.
